Donating

What real money buys here, how a bond becomes a rank, and what happens if a payment goes wrong.

::store opens the donation store. It sells one thing - bonds - in five sizes: $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100.

Nothing in the store is gear, a drop or an advantage in a fight. A bond buys a donator rank and Donator tickets, and those buy convenience: bank slots, a shop discount, noted gathering, instant teleports, a deposit box anywhere, and the Crimson Court. Everything worth having in a fight is still earned.

How it works

You build a basket in the store window, the game writes the order, and your browser opens the checkout page for exactly what the game wrote. When the payment clears, the bonds are delivered to you in game. If you are offline they wait, and ::claim says where.

Paying with crypto pays 10% more in Donator tickets than the same amount by card, because it costs the server less.

Redeeming a bond

Right-click a bond in your inventory and redeem it. That does three things:

  1. adds its dollar value to your lifetime total
  2. hands you one Donator ticket per dollar
  3. raises your donator rank if the new total has crossed a rung

The ladder is on lifetime total, so it never resets and never goes backwards:

| Rank | Total donated | |---|---| | Donator | $10 | | Super | $50 | | Extreme | $100 | | Elite | $250 | | Legendary | $500 | | Mythic | $1,000 | | Uber | $2,500 |

Reaching a new rank is announced to the world. Donator perks is what each rung actually changes.

Bonds are tradeable until they are redeemed, which is what makes them the prize behind the vote ballots and the referral milestones - those hand out real bonds, bought the same way.

If something goes wrong

Open ::bug or ask in Discord with your order reference. A payment that is disputed with the payment provider holds back whatever that order paid for until the dispute is settled, so it is much faster to ask than to charge back.
