The Rest Yard

Ten stations that pay experience while you are away, the token shop, and the bonus that only credit earns.

The Rest Yard is the west corner of the home plaza: ten stations you sit at, a currency that buys nothing but clothes, and an experience rate deliberately set where it can never compete with going out and killing something.

Using it

::rest walks you there and says what you have banked. Pick a station, sit down, and it pays on a five-tick loop into the skill that station is for, plus Rest tokens.

There is no gate on any of it and nothing to bring.

The rest bonus

This is the part worth understanding. The yard pays a base rate to anybody sitting in it, and it pays triple while you have rest credit banked - but credit is only earned by experience gained outside the yard.

So the yard pays best to somebody who has just come back from a real session, and it pays its floor rate to somebody who never leaves. That is the whole design: it is there so the home area looks inhabited, not so that sitting still is a strategy.

Everything on the counter is untradeable loungewear. Nothing on it has a combat stat, and nothing on it can be sold, which is why the yard's rate never had to be measured against a boss.

Donator ranks earn tokens faster - the ladder is on the perks page.
