The bank, presets and carrying things

1,410 slots and how many of them you get, gear presets in one click, and the two bags that carry more than an inventory.

The bank

The bank is Old School's own screen: ten tabs, search, placeholders, fillers and the incinerator. Click a booth at home, or use ::bank from anywhere once you own the Sanguine Ferry pact from the blood fountain.

Everybody starts with 450 slots. That is the only capacity rule there is - it counts across every tab, so how you arrange things does not change how much you can keep. A donator rank raises it at every rung, up to 1,350 at the top. The screen itself is built for 1,410, which is the ceiling nothing can go past.

A placeholder is the grey outline an item leaves behind when you withdraw the last of it, so its slot stays where you put it. Placeholders do not count against your 450.

::deposit opens a deposit box wherever you are standing, with a donator rank.

Presets

::presets opens the Preset Manager, or right-click the wrench in the bank. A preset is a whole loadout - worn gear, inventory and spellbook - saved under a name and loaded in one click. You can build one from what you are wearing right now, duplicate it, rename it, overwrite it, and lock the ones you do not want to lose.

The same thing is available as a side panel in the client, so you never have to open the window.

A preset banks what you are holding before it hands the new loadout over, which is what makes it one click - and is also why it does not work in a few places. It is refused inside the events arena during a community event, and inside anything that replaces your inventory on the way in.

A new account is given a preset already, and the guided tour finishes with it open and Load as the next click.

The item spawner

::spawn opens the spawner. Most training gear, food and runes are in it, free and instant. What is not in it is anything worth chasing: boss uniques, raid gear, the charged weapons and the cosmetics. Every item page on this wiki says which fight, shop or reward pays the item, and "you can just spawn it" is one of the answers.

The spawner is switched off in a few places on purpose - inside a live tournament bracket, in the gambling yard, and at the Duel Arena - so that nobody can conjure gear while somebody else's kit is on the line.

The looting bag

Twenty-eight slots that carry loot your inventory has no room for. It is a Wilderness bag: you can only take things out of it at a bank, and if you die out there it empties onto the floor with everything else. Nothing untradeable can go in it.

It is stocked by the Vote Rewards counter and drops off most boss tables.

The rune pouch

Three slots that hold runes outside your inventory, and every spell you cast spends them the same way it would spend runes you were carrying - including lighting up the spells you can afford in the spellbook.

It is 5,000 blood money from the Emblem Trader and that is its only source. Note what a death does with it: the bag is untradeable and comes home with you, and the runes inside it do not. Runes are ordinary items and are lost like any other.
